Joshua - 1.0 out of 5 stars: The plot thickens (Becomes worst). I bought this 11/10/24 for my husband's birthday. We used it 3 times.It leaked blue coolant all over the base of the KitchenAid. It continued to leak blue fluid even when upside down. I wrote them ("contact us") to resolve before this review. 3 weeks-No response. It was a total waste of my money. The lack of response speaks volumes for the product and customer service. I wish I could give it zero stars. Ok, this is a kick in the head. My wife wrote a review; the company said they were so sorry and offered a full refund if I replied to their email with the words "Full refund." I did, then I got an email from Amazon saying the email address wasn't good. WHAT! Disappointed and I thought this was a serious company.

I bought it thinking as most of my family is lactose intolerant, that type of ice cream is very hard to find. We live 25 minutes from major grocery stores that would carry it, and if I did buy it, it's melted by the time I get home even in an ice chest. I thought since I have a KitchenAid mixer why not try this. After opening the box and reading the instructions, I found it's just not for me and my busy schedule. It says nothing on Amazon that you have to freeze the bowl for 2 days then make sure the ingredients are chilled before placing in the 2-day frozen bowl or it won't work right. It doesn't mention needing salt, which I thought might go between the outside and inside bowl-again, nothing in the Amazon description. When I want to make homemade ice cream, I want to make it right then, especially if the grandkids stop by. I don't plan that far ahead. So I'll just buy an old-fashioned churn-style or electric ice cream maker that uses salt and have the grandkids take turns sitting on the top.It doesn't help make it freeze faster,but my dad said it did,so of course we'd fight over taking turns. He'd fold the paper bag the ice came in (60s and 70s era) then placed the folded bag on top so us kids could sit on it. great memories!!!😊
